The Philippines essays

The Philippines essays The Philippines can be seen as an abboration in relation to other Asian countries. Early on in its history it was subject to colonial rule by the Spanish. The Spanish introduced Spanish culture and Roman Catholicism to the Philippines. The period of long colonial rule also produced a culture that was neither directly Spanish nor directly Filipino. Filipino society and culture today can be best described as a synthesis of the two cultures that has been tempered over time. However for some Filipinos this is not enough. Some long for a more solid notion of identity. They ask, What is Filipino? Two novels from the Philippines, When The Rainbow Goddess Wept, by Cecilia Manguerra Brainard, and Dusk by F. Sionil Jose, suggest that Filipino identity can be seen in the struggles and oral traditions of their past. The Philippines were originally Asian in culture and race, but lost this identity through the Spanish, and American colonial experience. But we see that through the colonial experience a new Filipino Identity developed. In the novel, Recuerdo, by Cristina Pantoja Hidalgo, one learns that prior to colonialism the Philippines traded and had contact with China. At this time the Philippines had what one could consider a culture untouched, untainted of forced outside influences. From the novel, When the Rainbow Goddess Wept, one learns of rich oral traditions of the Philippines. When the Spanish took the Philippines as a colony in 1521, the notion of an untouched Philippine culture disappeared. The Spanish brought with them Catholicism. The Filipinos eventually embraced Catholicism integrating it into Philippine culture. A syncretism of what was Filipino culture and religion and Spanish culture and Catholicism resulted in a Filipino culture that was unique, neither purely Spanis h, nor Filipino. This new identity became what Filipinos accepted as Filipino culture for they new nothing else. ...

Everything About Demand Generation Strategies, Tactics, and Examples

Everything About Demand Generation Strategies, Tactics, and Examples Demand doesn’t generate itself. If it did, we’d all be able to pack up our stuff and find a different career. Our organizations would blissfully carry on without us, bringing in leads Fortunately for us, that isn’t the way things work, and thus we remain gainfully employed. Somewhat less fortunately, it turns out drumming up business with content is easier said than done. It takes a strong understanding of your audience, smart strategy, and consistent execution to make that happen. In other words, it isn’t work you’re going to finish in a weekend. It’s going to take time, commitment, and a little bit of know-how. That’s where this post comes in. Here, you’ll find: Clarity around what demand generation is (and is not). It’s a somewhat confusing concept due to the amount of overlap between it and other marketing disciplines. An outline for how to plan a demand gen strategy. Get templates and guidance you need to start putting a plan into practice. Links to actionable blog posts and other reliable sources. Check the Recommended Reading callouts throughout the post for more detailed guides on how to implement each piece of your strategy. This is a broad topic, and condensing down everything about it into one post isn’t entirely possible. But, you can consider this your one bookmarkable hub to find all the resources you’ll need in one place. It’s time to start reading and start building up your business. What Exactly is Demand Generation? This genuinely isn’t a dumb question. Demand generation, as a marketing term, describes a broad set of practices and tactics that are all centered around one thing: making people care about your product. It encompasses everything an organization does to raise awareness and build interest in what they sell. That can include branding, public relations, content marketing, or anything else that helps turn audiences from not knowing you exist, to wondering why they didn’t buy sooner. How Does That Differ From Lead Generation? You’ve probably heard the term lead generation too, and might be wondering how it differs from demand gen. Solomon Thimothy from Clickx  sums up the distinction between the two well in this video: If you don’t have time to watch the video, the easiest answer is that lead gen is a part of demand gen, which’s more narrowly focused on capturing information from potential customers (most often through an online form). Ultimately, generating leads is part of the goal of generating demand, but the practice of demand gen from start to finish is more complex. Whats the difference between #LeadGeneration and #DemandGeneration? Understanding Why Demand Generation Matters No one cares about your brand. At least, not until they realize they have a problem that needs solving, or they discover a want for a particular type of product or service. But, even then, once their search for a solution begins, you have plenty of competitors they could find instead. So, it’s up to you to build interest in your industry, get in front of potential customers, and deliver the kind of value that’s going to attract people to you (instead of any of the number of other options they might have). This isn’t going to happen by accident. And it’s not going to happen without the help of the right knowledge and tools, either.

Rape and Associated Criminological Theories Research Paper

Rape and Associated Criminological Theories - Research Paper Example The authors consider the differences and similarities between the two studies, and behavioral themes that were consistent across the studies. The studies were both undertaken by the authors and used information present in databases held by the police and the courts. Finally, they examine what role behavioral analysis of rape provides and how the behavioral profile found in the study differs from that which is described from members of the community who have experienced rape firsthand. The first study they examined used data gathered from the police records of the Victoria Police on perpetrators of sexual assault on adult women. In total, information was gathered on 130 men who were charged with the crime. These records include the responses to a 263 question survey which is used to track violent crimes in Australia. The study used the responses from 28 of these questions which focused on the behavioral characteristics of rapists. All of the men whose information had been used had bee n charged within the previous 12 months. The second study that the authors examined used transcripts from court cases that had occurred within the past five years. A total of 50 transcripts were used, and these represented men accused of sexual assault of an adult woman. ... Five behavioral themes were examined throughout the two studies, and the prevalence of these in each of the cases was examined. The themes were: brutal or physical, oral, vaginal, kissing or fondling and anal. These were determined by examination of the questions used in the survey for the first study and what the common themes were. The authors found that the most common relationship between rape victims and the perpetrators of the rape was that of strangers for both studies they examined. For both studies the authors found that the most common theme was vaginal, and most common combination of themes was kissing and vaginal. Clay-Warner and McMahon-Howard tested two theories of whether, and if so, how and when rape victims report being raped using data gathered in conjunction with the Census Bureau known as the National Crime Victimization Survey (NCVS). The NCVS is a survey that is jointly conducted by the Census Bureau and the Bureau of Justice Statistics. The experimental design is uses stratified clusters, with individuals living on military bases, correctional facilities and without a home excluded from the survey. Once selected for the survey, a household will remain within it for three years, with interviews conducted every six months on each individual above the age of 12. Responses to the survey were analyzed for individuals who reported sexual violation, this was the dependant variable. For the first study the responses were categorized into reported and not reported. In the second study, the results were broken down into three categories, reported by the victim, not reported and reported by a third party. The two theories that Clay-Warner and McMahon-Howard examined are the Behavior of Law theory, proposed by Black and Classic Rape Theory. The

Training Design Proposal Assignment Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 1000 words

Training Design Proposal - Assignment Example The training course is based on conducting the performance review. The course is designed for managers and will take two days. The purpose of the training is to impart knowledge on how to use effective feedback skills when conducting performance reviews. As a system, training is an integrated part that measures performance against a criterion linked to strategic objectives (Blanchard 2013). The objective of this training is to improve feedback skills as lack of proper feedback skills results in poor performance within the organization. Leadership Style Essay Example for Free

Leadership Style Essay Leaders are people who inspire and motivate us through their actions and words. As we have seen through many years, the term leadership has been defined in many ways, but always we expect the leader is just someone who shares our values and provide us direction. A great example of these qualities is Nelson Mandela. We can learn many lessons from him, some that will remain through the years: Lead with your action: Your words and actions should be motivating to others. Inspire courage, desire to learn, instilling a sense that anything is possible. One way to teach others is by our example. Planning: Establish a plan, be clear in advance what ideas and priorities will help us achieve success in any business or personal task. Work With The Willing: In life we find people who despite having the talent and potential to do something, they are detained and unwilling to move forward. We cannot carry the burden of others, we have to let these people deal with their own experiences and surround ourselves with other like-minded to Us. We have to approach those who inspire us and bring something positive to our lives. Communicate: Knowing how to bring a focused message and make sure that it has been understood. Sometimes come into play cultural idiosyncrasies, body language and other factors that could cause frustration. Nelson Mandela is a great example of a communicator. Interacting with People: Nelson Mandela is able to motivate a whole country to work together for a common cause. He was willing to establish relationships of all parties in order to achieve its goal of a united and successful South Africa. Develop Strong Character: Having a strong sense of conviction and personality cause respect for the followers. Nelson Mandela knew that he was doing the right thing despite the consequences that crossed. On one occasion, Mandela shared a leadership lesson he learned when herding cattle, Stengel (1994): When you want to get a herd to move in a certain direction, he said, you stand at the back with a stick. Then a few of the more energetic cattle move to the front and the rest of the cattle follow. You are really guiding them from behind. He paused before saying with a smile, That is how a leader should do his work. Mandela was a charismatic and democratic leader because his behavior was that of a unique style. Mandelas emotional stability was evident as never reacted against their oppressors. Mandela never showed a desire for revenge or hatred and his ideals have always remained unchanged.  Mandela also was firm as a leader. A quality that has been admired by many is how Mandela int eracted with all social classes. In their struggle to bring democracy to South Africa, Mandela used a democratic leadership style. â€Å"Democratic leaders set policies through group discussion and decision, encouraging and helping group members to interact, requesting the cooperation of others, and being considerate of members’ feelings and needs† (Johnson Johnson, 2013, p. 177). I believe that my leadership style is a combination of Task-Oriented Charismatic Leadership. Thats because many times I focus on the work to be completed in the time required. I usually like to define the work and the steps required to put things in place, and plan, organize and monitor the work. In addition I like to perform other tasks such as creating and maintaining performance standards. On the other hand I like to inspire enthusiasm and provide motivation to groups. Compared to the leadership style of Mr. Mandela, I identify myself for his charisma with people. My interest is to devel op a more Transformational Style. As I mentioned in other writings, I think the best scenario is have the ability to move from one style to another according to the situation. Although we have a particular style we must consider the following steps to improve our leadership skills (Yulk, p. 401, 2013): †¢Develop a personal vision of career objectives. †¢Seek appropriate mentors. †¢Seek challenging developmental assignments. †¢Use social networks to learn about developmental opportunities. †¢Improve self-monitoring. †¢Seek relevant feedback. †¢Learn from mistakes. †¢Learn to view events from multiple perspectives. †¢Be skeptical of easy answers. Before adopting a leadership style we have to understand the needs of individuals and the organization. The style should be adapted to the particular demands of the situation. There will always be challenges that a leader must deal, different personality styles that will have to manage to inspire and influence them.

Analysis of Charlotte Brontes Jane Eyre :: Jane Eyre Essays

Analysis of Jane Eyre In Jane Eyre, Charlotte Bronte portrays one woman's desperate struggle to attain her identity in the mist of temptation, isolation, and impossible odds. Although she processes a strong soul she must fight not only the forces of passion and reason within herself ,but other's wills constantly imposed on her. In its first publication, it outraged many for its realistic portrayal of life during that time. Ultimately, the controversy of Bronte's novel lied in its realism, challenging the role of women, religion, and mortality in the Victorian society. In essence, Bronte's novel became a direct assault on Victorian morality. Controversy based in its realistic exposure of thoughts once considered improper for a lady of the 19th century. Emotions any respectable girl would repress. Women at this time were not to feel passion, nor were they considered sexual beings. To conceive the thought of women expressing rage and blatantly retaliating against authority was a defiance against the traditional role of women. Jane Eyre sent controversy through the literary community. For not only was it written by a woman but marked the first use of realistic characters. Jane's complexity lied in her being neither holy good nor evil. She was poor and plain in a time when society considered "an ugly woman a blot on the face of creation." It challenged Victorian class structure in a strictly hierachal society. A relationship between a lowly governess and a wealthy nobleman was simply unheard of. Bronte drew criticism for her attack on the aristocracy who she deemed as hypocritical "showy but ... not genuine." She assaulted individual's already established morals by presenting a plausible case for bigamy. Notions which should have evoked disgust and outrage from its reader. Yet its most scandaless aspect was its open treatment of love. Passionate love scenes which were for their day extremely explicit but by today's standards are less than tame. Bronte's choice of a strong independent heroine depicted feminist ideals that would later lead to the overhaul of Victorian culture. By making Jane an educated woman, Bronte gave her impowerment in a patriarchal society that denied women education. However, Jane became a woman who demanded a say in her own destiny. During her courtship, she refutes

Management of Human, Physical and Technological Resources Essay

Explain how the management of human, physical and technological resources can improve the performance of a selected organisation In this assignment, I am going to show and explain how Jaguar Land Rover manages the three main types of resources. Ensuring that the human, physical and technological resources are carried out correctly can increase the performance of Jaguar Land Rover. Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) is a business built around two great British car brands that design, engineer and manufacture in the UK. Jaguar Land Rover is part of Tata Motors, India’s largest automobile company. Jaguar Cars Limited is one of the world’s premier manufacturers of luxury sports saloons and sports cars, whilst Land Rover is a world renowned manufacturer of premium 4Ãâ€"4’s based in the United Kingdom. The Land Rover, in particular, over its 60 year long history has been renowned for its relationship with the planet. The group’s strategic approach has greatly minimised the impact of their cars on the environment, either through their e-Terrain technologies, more sustainable manufacturing, CO2 offsetting, or conservation and humanitarian projects. Jaguar Land Rover’s sustainability governance structure is part of the reason why sustainability is so embedded strategically in the way they do business. Human Resources This covers all aspects of HR, including operational support, recruitment and development. The Human resources can improve the JLR’s performance in many ways. There are two main processes which are looked at when managing human resources. The most important is to employ they correct people for the job, people that will carry out the job role correctly. Jaguar Land Rover takes on a limited number of design graduates into one of three different design areas: * Colour and materials * Digital and clay modelling * Surfacing Design graduates will be closely involved with creating the look and feel of vehicles, both internally and externally. Throughout Jaguar Land Rover, people experience moments of inspiration and progress like these every day. Individually, they define careers. Together, they’re the driving force behind the astonishing growth in over 170 countries around the world. People matter in JLR. There organisation’s capability and vision have been he power behind their recent success, and are key to their future. We need to create a positive, supportive environment capable of attracting, developing and retaining the best people possible. This is what they’ll be fundamental in doing. Working across the business, they’ll help them find innovative new ways to source, engage and nurture employees. Theyâ €™ll develop themselves too, by thinking commercially and gaining technical skills that will prove invaluable long into their future. As there remarkable growth continues the challenges them face will just keep on getting bigger and more exciting. And when it all comes together – when a project you’ve worked on makes a visible and positive impact on our business – it’ll be a moment you’ll never forget. Staff journey begin thorough introduction to both brands, followed by carefully planned development throughout their time on the programme. This will include support to achieve any professional accreditation they’ll need. At every stage, JRL will be given the support and freedom to achieve their full potential. And, as people expect from an internationally successful business, the rewards and benefits are outstanding. They include a competitive salary and pension scheme, joining bonus and an employee car purchase scheme. The longer that people work in a job, or different jobs they will start to gain accumulated experience, they will start to learn how to deal with certain issues that may come up in their job. This is a major benefit to the company, as more and more people stay at the company so wills the experience. The people with experience will be placed as mangers so that they can have an influence on their own sector or department. It is very important for the organization to build up the skills of peoples so that they can deal with certain issues that arisen the business. It would be wise to train more than a few people at certain things, for instance in their absence, there should be somebody to handle that specific area. If an experienced person was to leave the organization it would beard to find another person that would be able to fulfil that job role with the same amount of skill as the previous person. Cascading training is the process in which training is passed on throughout the workforce, so that a backup is available when one is needed. To grow their business and bring their vehicles to life, it takes exceptional people. In Jaguar and Land Rover HR look at following things also:- Working right across an exceptionally broad HR career path, they’ll take on challenges such as: * Negotiating change with JLR Trade Unions * Advising Board Directors on business unit organization * Producing training and development programmers * Building positive senior relationships throughout the business * Managing the performance, and developing the skills, of employees throughout the business. Physical Resources When looking at the physical resources of the JLR, we look at the procedures that it undertakes to carry out its activities. Improvements can be made to make sure that these resources are maintained, refurbished and secured. All businesses need premises where they can operate from. These buildings can have a strong affect on the people that either work there, or the customers of the company. Having building located in strong economic areas is also very important for the business, so that many people will be attracted to it, as well as see it as an important building in the area. Importance of how JLR layout their stores all over the country no doubts shows in its success. The building has proper heating system and other accessories to attract the attention of the customers. Once they have chosen the car that they wish to purchase. In businesses like JLR, they would need to be aesthetically pleasing to the customers, being attracted to the building will naturally result in them proceeding into the building. Improvements should be made in the materials and waste in JLR. Undoubtedly this would both save the economy as well as money for the business. JLR has many stores, warehouses and factories. These building will all need to cope with different activities that will need to be completed. The plant will be the place where the machinery for these places will be placed. Although some companies take their machinery on lease, JLR sees best to buy the machinery. The correct equipment is essential for a business such as JLR to operate smoothly. If the necessary equipment is not given then this can result in the incompletion of the task which was required, this can have more impact on The Company then some may think. IT is one of the most important, many business fail without it. JLR has a ery good IT system, which consist of both hardware and software, which carry out their main jobs of looking after the amount of stock in the stores, the days cash intake, and many other important functions that the company needs. Hardware is the physical items, computers, monitors, things that are visible to people. Software would be the systems that the computer runs on, Microsoft and other appl ications. Making sure that all of the buildings in the JLR Empire are maintained and updated if necessary is one thing that the company could not survive without. All of the 24 hour factories will always have their premises checked. If the correct maintenance does not take place then the machinery or the buildings can break down, leading to much more hefty cost with replacing them. Cleaning of the buildings is important in keeping it safe to work in and healthy for the people who work there. Refurbishment of the company consists When the company seems they want to change the appearance of their stores whether it be to the customers in the stores, or for the workers in the other associated buildings. Keeping the buildings fresh will encourage people to enjoy their workplace and result in people working harder. Refurbishment can also have an impact on the environment as well as people, as old resources can be replaces with eco-friendly or energy saving ones. To ensure that the workers and the customers of JLR are safe at all times Emergency Provisions will be there in case of an emergency. Evacuation training must be given to all of the employees, so that they know exactly what to do in case of a fire or any other incidence. Other equipment to prevent harm will be placed in the store, such as, fire alarms, smoke detectors, fire escapes and fire extinguishers. To ensure that these are working at all times, regular checks will need to be made. Insurance is a must with all building, whether there leased or owned by the company. This is to cover any damages. Protecting the assets of the company is very important because if any of these were vandalized, they can claim the damage costs back. The building must be made secured at all times, when the employees finish their shift at night; they must lock the premises up so that no intruder can enter. Although this is not always the case, people still somehow find a way in, this is why security guards are hired. The company can also get advice from big security companies about how they can keep their business locked and secure. Technological Resources When looking at resources which are technological, there are many improvements that can be made in JLR. Technological resources would not be hardware; they would fall under the category of software. They are managed in similar ways to other resources to ensure that they are not damaged, and if there is a newer version an update can be made. Intellectual property is the right in which people can own idea’s and decide what happens to them. Software is used in JLR a lot, and the company spends a lot of money on software for its business. Bespoke software is sometimes very important to businesses; the reason for this is because it is a piece of software that is specifically designed for a business. Software that isn’t bespoke, but owned by people is also used, and to use this JLR must pay a fee for the software license so that they can distribute it to all of their stores. When companies buy these licenses, they usually get a discount due to the bulk amount of computers that they wish to install the software onto. Some company’s run the software on more computers they claim to be, and in these cases they are breaking the law, although this can work both ways, as the companies can charge too much. Software audits can save a vast amount of money for the company, to see which computers need new software and which don’t. Using legislation to protect the technological resources of the company is very important although it is always hard to tell whether people have taken your idea, it is always hard to find the perpetrators. Patents and Copyrights are different area’s which fall under intellectual property law. Patents are protection for inventions, new or improved. And copyright protects the use of graphical images, or literary, songs software and films. Conclusion This activity is carried out through a process of cross-function or cross departmental working. Staff from different sections of a business come together to identify and address issues related to the company’s logistics, employee relations, stakeholder engagement and organisational development. Staff are recruited to meet demands of the organisation and often a team leader is selected to co-ordinate objectives, e. g. to set and meet achievable goals. Team performance is monitored in bite sizes to keep abreast of developments. Team members will liaise with other departments to avoid the silo effect form of productivity, i. e. to keep in the loop of events in the business environment. JLR make a series of strategic senior hires to affect particular objectives, e. g. a company may employ a senior manager to handle IT strategy formulation and implementation. This action is intended to encourage competition and increase productivity. All the data created or generated will be stored up as intellectual property and perhaps legal steps will be taken to protect material, e. . designs and text. The information will have come from a range of individuals who have come together as a group to provide accumulated experience and skills. For instance members of a Board may have worked within the organisation over a series of years in different roles. Other areas of physical resource include maintenance of a JLR’s building and facilities, e. g. an organisation may need to employ a policy and compliance officer to write and maintain a register of clear concise and easy to use documents as required by service operations of the business and government standards.

Experiences of Migration

Military University Experiences Of Migration For hundreds of years migration has been the topic of discussion as individuals or mass groups have migrated away from their homelands In search of alternate residency elsewhere throughout the world. Much like today, the 19th century migratory have been faced with a plethora of different types of reactions by their newfound territories Including both positive and negative In nature. Many Individuals exhibited numerous viewpoints Including the various governments who understood the advantages tot immigration.Immigration certainly holds the potential to live a more lucrative elite In another part of the world as most immigrants enjoyed the venous employment opportunities and enhanced lifestyles. Although some immigrants traveled with their families. There were Individuals who set out to find a new life while leaving their loved ones behind. In one such case, and individual by the name of Taffeta Broker. ‘Ã'Ÿaka was left behind in Wars aw Poland as her husband sent out to find a new existence. Unfortunately for Taffeta. Re husband never returns as we read in her correspondence to him. 893. Dear husband; up to the present I live with Rabbinic. I am not very Well satisfied, perhaps because was accustomed to live for So many years quietly, With you alone. And today you are at one and Of the world and I at the Other. So when I kick at strange corners don't know what to do from longing and regret _ You wont forget me, that you Will remain noble as you have been I have only the sort Of the friends think that I own thousands and from time to time Sorenson comes to me, skins me to lend her a dozen rubles. 1894. I shall now, the days and weeks until take me to America Such a sad elite ! Go almost to nobody, tort as long as PU were in Warsaw everything was d eferent. Formally we had friends, and everybody was glad to see us, while now, if I go to anybody they are afraid need something from them and they show me beforehand and indifferent face (Hunt et al. 012, 778). Forward and left loved ones behind. For the ones that did follow their loved ones, their experiences were that of excitement, apprehension and anxiousness as these immigrants were met with both open arms and rejection as the population receiving the immigrant's viewed these people as deserters and without patriotism. The following: gives us insight of the feelings from one immigrant as he is traveling to Im bound for young America, farewell old Scandinavia. Vive had my America. Fill of cold and toil, all for the love of mother soil. You poets with your rocks and rills can stay in starve-on words, no-frills.They are, out west, a man breaths free, while here one slaves, a tired bee, gathering honey filled the hive of wise old rulers, on us they thrive. In toil we over before th eir thrones while they take to slumber like lazy drones. Drunk with our nectar they've set us affright, but opportunity has knocked, and will take our flight (Hunt et al. 2012, 779). It is clear, that at least for some, immigrants left their homelands in search of freedom along with economic stability hat they felt could not be provided in their own country.

Give them what they want essays

Give them what they want essays Todays media culture is extremely manipulative. Serving an enormous market, record companies, radio stations, TV networks, etc. are trying to secure their success. Teens are told what to feel, what to like, and ultimately what to buy. Teenagers are the hottest consumer demographic in America. At 33 million strong,... last year, Americas teens spent $100 billion, while influencing their parents spending to the tune of another $50 billion. (The Merchants of Cool 2001:Synopsis). Media markets are constantly trying to keep up with what is cool and trendy keeping up with what image sells well. Amazing amounts of funding goes into this research. Markets try hard to maintain a hip image thats as genuine and real as can be. To Americas youth, MTV, KIIS fm, and the rest, seem so on point when it comes to being cool. Magazines are also bombarding teens with tons of advertising and articles on how to be the life of the party. It seems as if what was once something people sought for their amusement or interest, has become the very things they rely on for successful living. Companies have made media addicts out of todays youth; they tell teens what they want, package it, then sell it to them. Teenagers are ready to follow w hatever messages these companies have to tell them, however coded they may be. Teens know when theyre being fed some prepackaged image- correction, teens think they know. Its hard not to be cynical about anything these days, when one knows its corporate/money-interested origins. The Merchants of Cool talk about a band called Insane Clown Posse based in downtown Detroit. The teens called it rage rock and claimed it as their own. Rage rock is literally a challenge thrown up to marketers; just try to market this! But marketers have accepted the challenge; rage rock is now a big business. N...

The Pro's of Umbilical Cord Care (Triple Dye & alcohol) Research Paper

The Pro's of Umbilical Cord Care (Triple Dye & alcohol) - Research Paper Example Some of the methods were unsterile ad resulted in serious infections such as neonatal tetanus. Current umbilical care practices vary across different regions but have limited neonatal complications. Triple dye plus alcohol is one of the modern umbilical care treatments with several pros. The Pros of Umbilical Cord Care Using Triple Dye and Alcohol Regimen The kind of neonatal care given to newborn babies has great impact on the baby. Umbilical treatments aim at preventing infections during the cord separation. Umbilical cord is the cord that connects the baby with the placenta. It is mainly made up of blood vessels and acts as the connection between the mother and the foetus. After birth, the cord separates from the placenta, the cord stump dries and eventually falls, and the wound heals eventually. During the cord separation process, substances may collect and accumulate at the point of connection leading to infections. The cord takes about 5-15 days to separate. The umbilical stump provides a possible entry for bacteria. Therefore, there is need for use of appropriate treatment to aid the separation process, drying, and healing of the wound without infections. Antimicrobials are used to treat the umbilicus to fasten the cord separation and prevent bacterial colonization and other related complications of nursery infections as well as omphalitis. However, different antimicrobial work differently and may determine the time taken for cord to separate. Additionally, they may regulate the probability occurrence of any infections. Use of triple dye together with alcohol for treatment of umbilical cord is becoming a popular treatment for umbilical cord. The objective of this paper is to investigate the pros of Umbilical Cord Care using Triple Dye & alcohol. This analysis provides insights on how umbilical care impacts on nursing care. The paper will entail critical analysis of recent and relevant research related to the pros of using triple dye and alcohol in umbili cal cord care and make a conclusion regarding this method of nursing care. Triple dye is considered one of the most effective regimens for treatment of umbilical cord. A single application of the dye has been proved to prevent infections. However, the results are even better when triple dye is used together with alcohol. Studies have demonstrated that 90% alcohol is better in enhancing umbilical cord drying than other regimens such as povidone-iodine and Chinese herbs. Additionally, it has been proved that different regimen work differently in regions with different climatic conditions. However, some studies have shown that separation and healing occurs faster when Triple Dye is used together with alcohol. Discussion: Pro of Using Triple Dye Together with Alcohol for Cord Treatment    Umbilical cord care is one of the most important aspects of neonatal nursing care. This is because it greatly determines the health condition of the infant in the early stages after birth. Additional ly, the effectiveness of the care determines the survival rate of infants. The time taken for cord separation is greatly determined by the regime used for the care. Several studies have been done to establish the effectiveness of different regimes in determining the time taken for the cord to separate and the rate of infections following cord separation. The studies have established that the kind of regime used
